ACID help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got problems installing mysql database. When i run scripts/mysql_install_db..the following error message occurs"didn't find /usr/libexec/mysqld"....All my installing have been following the instruction from the ACID webpage and all the installation and building parts were done without errors..BUt i juz can't seem to install the database..WHY!!????Pls someone help me!1!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be better if you tell us which steps you choosed to install MySQL. Did you compile it from source? Used a package?
Slackware comes by default with MySQL installed.
Edit: Or post a link to where those ACID instructions are located.

we installed mysql-3.23.42.tar.gz on fedora core...So how??

Well, this is a Slackware related forum. I don't think it's apropiate to ask here how to install MySQL on Fedora Core.
