a few issues

hello guys,
been looking around thru this forum and i found it realy helpfull...

i managed to get my slack 10 up, finally managed to get my audio card up thanks to this forum.

what i can't do is:

#1 install my ati all in wonder radeon 7500 ... wuld be great if i could get some help to install the tv tuner too...

#2 i can't get to browse thru the other partitions i have... using a normal user, tho using root it works.
ie: i have a fat32 partition mounted in /mnt/winblowz , i can see it and see all inside, using root, but i can't get inside using the user i added (coldas1ce)
i also can't reboot/halt the pc using this user, saw a few posts related to this, but doesn't work... either i'm too dumb or i'm doing something wrong.

#3 i can't install my usb conexant modem
i managed to install the printer, but it can't find the modem...

remember that i am a newbie and would be gratefull if you could give explained details...

looking forward for an answer.

lots of thanks.
elvis.

I don't have a conexant modem so I don't know how to get it working, but this site might be worth a look http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/

Same story with your graphics card http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/l...eon-linux.html

For browsing your Windows partitions you'll need to alter /etc/fstab and change the options that were used to mount it. Post what you have in it now and we'll make suggestions.
