A command to redo my network connections?

I have SBC Yahoo DSL and in the network connections part of the installation I left everything up to DHCP. I don't have access and I think one of the fields I should have put something like: myusername@sbcglobal.net
instead of leaving it blank and up to DHCP. How can I get back to that place, post-installation, where I can fix my network connection/Internet access?

Thanks! I'll give that a whirl. I'm kind of new at Slackware (installed yesterday) and I really want to know how to use Linux myself w/o everything being so automated by the distribution. The more I learn to do from the CLI, the better

I don't think your settings are automatically reloaded after you exit netconfig (I could be wrong about that though).

To reload them, as root run:
/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 stop
/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 start
