How to install from the iso without to burn to CD ?
I want to install it in another partition, I've the iso on a slack-partition now
[root@tx97e:/opt]$ ls -l slackware.iso
-r-------- 1 root root 843087872 Aug 1 16:28 slackware.iso
I heard it should be possible to do that :
It should be something like :
Create the bootdisk(bare.i), rootdisks(install.1,install.2)
Boot with the disketts
Q: wut parameter should I give on the boot-prompt, easily enter does it ?
boot: bare.i ramdisk= ???
how to mount that iso on a "mounted partition" >
Actually my slackware.iso was on the fat32 partition that mounted on /mnt/uti, futher mounting like :
# mount -o loop -t iso9660 /mnt/uti/slackware.iso /mnt/iso
Haven't you been moderated in the past for talking shit about distributions, especially Mandrake? What's your problem? At least Mandrake users are running Linux. Mandrake gives back to the Open Source community at every opportunity. Running one distribution or the other doesn't make you more l33t. So shut up if you don't have anything positive to say and take your ego elsewhere.
