8.1 install: encrypted root ext3 filesystem

So far, so good: I have created from 3 scsi drives a raid-0 md device on a compaq prolaint 2500 with a bootable slackware 8.1 iso install cdrom. Now ik like to turn the /dev/md0 into a loopback device with some encryption. (This whole idea started with the fact that, it would be great if i could created a encrypted swap device like with OpenBsd.)
In short: ik like to create a raid-0 encrypted root ext3 filesystem.
Meanwhile i have learend that you need losetup for such thing i a way. however, i did not found this executeable at/on the slackware install ramdisk. mknod is pressent.
Now what? How do i continue?
For clearity: the hard drives do not contain any data whatsoever.

thanx.
