This is not a pissing contest! Give the kid a break. He is willing to document a fresh face installation perspective. Not all Slackers are hardened as others seem to display us as. So lighten up.
Sorry if I offended you or anyone else with my comments.
Perhaps I have mis-read this.

No, I didn't document anything. I just went and did it without writing a blog about my ventures into "the unknown." I saw no need, since the knowledge and wisdom of the community is what got me up and running in the first place. My ramblings could only further dilute the signal to noise ratio of the internet.
That said, I try to contribute where I can by answering questions here, but even after all these years I still consider myself a learner...

Well-said:-) I love Slackware and I also try to help out as much as I can; I still consider myself a learner.
I remember when I started with Slackware several years ago (version 10.0) there were many Master Slackers here who were very patient with my pedestrian inquiries. I do my best to welcome newcomers to Slackware. My sense is that more and more Linux users are becoming curious about our favourite distro.
You've tried the rest..........now use the best:-)

You did not offend me! I just felt that what I read from your post was not fair to the OP. He was/is just writing out his experiences and seems to need some reinforcement at times.
Sure this could be 'blogged' but the forum can be used to address the needs of his problems. I do like to see how others understand or perceive the OS. That way fresh perspectives are seen. Sometimes from an entirely different viewpoint therefore opening others to more information from respondents.
I started the 30 days a couple days ago, and already have encountered problems. After google searching, I couldn't resolve some of these problems. I posted them on my blog, and any help is greatly appreciated.
