2.6.7 & 2.6.8-rc1 + Problems with 7in1 USB Card Reader
Ok, I just installed Slackware the other day and with the default kernel 2.4.26 my In-win USB Card Reader worked fine, I upgraded to 2.6.7 off of the second cd and ever since, my card reader has stopped working. I thought the problem might be with 2.6.7 in general, but it still doesn't work and does the exact same thing in 2.6.8-rc1 (which I upgraded to yesterday). My card reader isn't accepting a new address, which is what dmesg reports whenever I unplug it and plug it back in. I have all of the required modules loaded and have SCSI support built into the kernel. Below is my dmesg output and my lsmod output. Any help would be very much appreciated as I have no idea what to do next :\ USB Core support is built into the kernel btw.

Ok, I patched my kernel, but it still doesn't work. Here's my dmesg output. Any thoughts? :\

If I take the files /usr/src/linux/include/asm-generic/errno-base.h and /usr/src/linux/include/asm-generic/errno.h, I understand :
shpchp: acpi_shpchprm:\_SB_.PCI0 evaluate _BBN fail=0x5
EIO error, I/O error (errno-base.h)
usb 1-1: device not accepting address 5, error -71
EPROTO error, Protocol error (errno.h)
First, is /etc/rc.d/rc.hotplug executable ? Is /etc/rc.d/rc.udev executable ? Have you a /sys directory mounted with subdirectories in it?

rc.hotplug is executable, rc.udev is executable. I have a /sys directory and it has subdirectories.
