14.2 Setup fails using premounted directory

Prompted by this post, I've decided to bite the bullet and start upgrading some of my machines (I've got a 13.1, 13.37, a couple 14.1, and a 14.2 installation so I'm a bit behind).

Because I tend to upgrade only when necessary and tend to skip releases, I go for a fresh install rather than upgrade.
My CD drive doesn't seem to be working, so I'm trying to perform a USB upgrade. Because I'm a little lazy, I just downloaded the ISO to the old partition and have a fresh one ready for the new installation. I booted using the usbboot.img and mounted the old partition, created /iso directory and mounted using
Code:
mount slackware64-14.2-install-dvd.iso /iso -o loop
.
When I go to perform the installation, I choose all my swap/target drives. However, when I select the source media and try Option 7, Install from a pre-mounted directory it appears to work and I can choose a full install, but then it ends almost instantly with a install complete message.

I got it to work, but I had to choose Install from DVD, Manual, Custom, and enter /iso. I got a mount error but once I chose 3 Ignore the error and continue the installation completed successfully.

I believe I had to do something similar when I installed 13.37 on my mini media PC, so I don't think this is isolated to 14.2. Is there something wrong with my installation process or is it something in the installation scripts?

it's been a while since I ran through it, but I believe you have to enter /iso/slackware64 rather than /iso as it's looking for the path to the packages directory rather than where the iso is mounted.

Thanks. I'll give that a try when I do the next machine.
