14.0 freeze as a total of 140GB files (big , small , sparse ) are being copied
 

my 14.0 box froze when I was coping files from one filesystem to another filesystem which combine as a total of 140GB(big , small , sparse files).

No log has been written as I checked the /var/log files for any problme.

How did you do the copy, GUI or terminal or something else, which way? I did had problems doing the same thing with GUI tools, no problems happened in the terminal.

I tried both and I did had problems doing the same thing with GUI tools, no problems happened in the terminal, though.

I checked in top , problems arose when my machine started to use swap , then everything started to freeze.

On a little investigation only KDE froze not my whole system.

ctrl+alt+backspace was all I needed.
