13.37, fluxbox, bluetooth and blueman

Hi, I'm wondering if someone can help me get bluetooth and blueman working.
Bluetoothd is running.

bash-4.1# pgrep bluetoothd
25394

But when i start blueman-applet the icon on the toolbar is like white with a red 'x' in the centre of it, which doesn't seem right. I'm using fluxbox as my WM so don't know if that's the reason, but blueman isn't responding when i try to setup the device with gui(blueman-applet).

My groups for my user are.
users wheel floppy audio video cdrom plugdev netdev scanner

Wondering if Anyone offer any help, don;t know if i've missed anything out.Hci0 is up.

bash-4.1# hciconfig
hci0: Type: BR/EDR Bus: USB

hmm

I am not sure since I have slack working with bluetooth using XFCE.

Out of curiosity, did you enable the bluetoothd through the services portion of the install or was it enabled manually?

C-SNIPER, thanks for the reply, I've just tried again and it all seems to work. I installed bluez packages through slackpkg, so don't know if i needed to reboot afterwards but it's all working fine today..strange.

Oh on a final note, what groups do you need to add(if any) for blueman? I added plugdev and netdev because of the problems trying to make it work, but don't know if they are necessary.

Unfortunately I don't have my laptop in front of me, but I don't think you need to be added to anything other than plugdev and netdev.

Sending files from my phone to slack

Ok, now I've found another problem. I have no problem sending files to my phone, but when i try sending files from my phone to my desktop(slack) it won't work. When it is sending the file i can see it in my /home/user folder but my phone then says it's failed and the file disappears...wondering if it's permission issue or something i need to do to blueman?
