Need to buy a 6 10 gigabit NIC for slackware64 14.1 ws.
until today i even not know, there is already 10 gbit technology
going to menuconfig to see what is with drivers on that kernel, and see, there are no arrange on categories - a time ago in kernel configuration is be grouped to 10 mbit ethernet, 100 mbit, 1000 mbit.
now all is in one pot. also in a past i very often go with realtek ship based NICs - it work very good, also with linux, and not pricey. but there, i see, faster realtek driver in that kernel is 8169 - gigabit?
be a very pleased for advice on on what brand \ model network cards be looked for get working network without trouble, preferably on stock slack kernel, without recompiling...
