[SOLVED] SBo SlackBuilds fail at make install under latest -current64
I'm running a clean install of the latest version of -current64. When I try to run a number of SlackBuilds from SBo, the scripts stop (no error) after the make install step. If I manually run all of the commands after make install, I get a fully functional package, and the program works with no problems. In looking as the logs, I don't see any errors during the configure, make, or make install steps. Three of the packages I am trying to compile from SBo where I have this problem are:
thunar-archive-plugin thunar-media-tags-plugin xfce4-taskmanager I'm having problems with other scripts as well that are not XFCE related, but these are good examples. Another oddity is that the SlackBuild script for thunar-archive-plugin at slacky.eu works. I've never had any problems with these scripts before, and many other scripts still run just fine. I can't track down a common problem here. Thanks, in advance. |
maybe it's related to bash 4: robby and lukenshiro wrote something about it on the slackbuilds-users mailing list
http://lists.slackbuilds.org/piperma...ch/005316.html listing all the slackbuilds that gave you problems surely can be useful to others ;) but remember that slackbuilds.org repo is for the 13.0 release: they don't support current builds. |
ponce, thanks for the quick reply. I originally skimmed through that thread, but I didn't make the connection at the time. I just downgraded bash, and the problem is solved. Thanks again!
