[SOLVED] font too small in text mode
Hello there,
I am new on this forum. I live in France and i use Slackware since version 9.1. I remove all the windows on my computers since 2004. I have a spare hard disk with ubuntu to test some softwares before installing them on my Slackware to save time  But the problem why i am here is someting i never saw on Slackware. I am installing a web server in text mode (slk 13.37). Usually on Slackware, i fixed the size of the font in lilo.conf, according with my glasses to be able to read easyly on the screen. But with Slk 13.37, the size i give in lilo.conf is used during the first part of boot time, after what it changes for very small fonts, very hard to read. And i don't know how to change that. I could try to find everywhere in the system, but it is really too small on the screen. X is not installed. If someone knows... Thanks Jean-Philippe |
I assume that is is because KMS (kernel mode setting) is enabled on your system. Add the option nomodeset to the append line of your lilo configuration file.

The append line contains vt.utf8=0, if i add nomodeset, it doesn't change anything, if i let only nomodeset, it is same. |
