no strong preference, i know how to admin/edit with both the bsd-style Slackware uses, and the sysV (debian's style before systemD messed it up) however since i dont use anything that requires the sysV compatibility package (sysV-functions) i dont install it, but i am glad it is there just in case i do need it in the future, as long as Slackware NEVER switches to systemD i will be a happy boy
