Question [ATI] fglrx vs dri-radeon <what is the diff?>

Simple as it may sound, I don't really understand the difference.

Let me tell you what I understand:

1. fglrx is released by ATI | dri-radeon is released by freedesktop (+kernel)

That is all.

Can I used both at the same time? Since the instruction given here is to install fglrx first then install dri-radeon driver.

I must admit I haven't look at the xorg.conf in detail.
