[ANN] v4l2control Released

v4l2control is a small dialog/shell script to adjust settings on webcams. It's very simple and only has one option flag -v for version.

When you run v4l2control you are presented with a dialog screen of the settings with defaults and current setting info.

Press Enter on an option and put in a new value in the next screen.

I wrote this because I wanted to be able to change settings over ssh.

I hope it's useful :)

Limitations:

It uses v4l2-ctl so probably doesn't work for every webcam out there, just ones that use 4vl. Also at the moment it only supports one webcam device - /dev/video0.

When I saw the topic "v4l2 released" my first thought was: "Huh, I've been using v4l2 for years." It might make sense to give your script a name that is at least a little different from the API name.
