Lightbulb [ANN] Soma 2.11.3

A new soma update is available:

http://dawoodfall.net/slackbuilds/noversion/soma

Changes/Additions:

A bit of a code overhaul.
New themes added:

bluerc, defaultsrc, greenrc, redrc, slackrc, whiterc and yellowrc.

It's fairly easy to create new ones. The colour settings are in the
format of 'foreground,background,bold'. The defaultsrc uses whatever
your terminal default foreground and background colours are.

Themes now go in ~/.soma/themes/ by default to keep the config
directory tidier. But you can use whatever path you like in the
options file.

Option to colour the main dialog titles separate to the theme file.
It is set to bold your theme title colour by default.
The options file has comments explaining the format.

Added output for 'pulse' in output device menu.
Previously, this needed setting manually.

Stations added since 2.11.2:
Radio Swing 1920s
Radio Smooth Jazz
Big Blue
KCEA
WITR 89.7
KKJZ
FM 4625 KHz
The Buzzer
ABC Oldies
ABC 60s
ABC 70s
ABC 80s
Flower Power Radio
KZRO
Morcegao FM
Floyd
Floyd Too

That's about it folks. Enjoy your listening

Also, you can use those themes in other dialog apps like slackpkg and sbopkg - just set $DIALOGRC to point at the one you like.

/dev/null is strange though. Dialog default colours are different. I don't know how this comes about, but it does. I tried setting it to /dev/urandom but nah, didn't work.

dive --

Thanks for soma !

Is it just me, or does the md5sum fail for other people too ?

Thanks.

Code:
# get it ; make an md5sum file ; check it ( the md5sum is from http://www.dawoodfall.net/slackbuilds/noversion/soma/ )

$ wget 'http://www.dawoodfall.net/files/slackbuilds/noversion/soma/soma-2.11.3.tar.gz'
$ echo '62e59f69153639daa5e0bb23fcd0325a  soma-2.11.3.tar.gz' > soma-2.11.3.tar.gz.md5sum
$ md5sum -c soma-2.11.3.tar.gz.md5sum

soma-2.11.3.tar.gz: FAILED
md5sum: WARNING: 1 computed checksum did NOT match

# what is the md5sum on the file that I did get ?

$ md5sum soma-2.11.3.tar.gz

Google brought me to this page - I never heard of soma before. :-)

Only saw it while scanning through the slackware changelog.

It seems as if I am not the only one who has an eye on the slackware
changelog.

For anyone in Australia using network providers iiNet, Internode, Westnet, Netspace and Adam Internet, a quota-free list of 651 stations is available at http://freezone.iinet.net.au/freezon...-playlist.list. The format is not quite correct so after you download the file somewhere, it can be fixed and added to your local soma stations list with
Code:
sed -e 's/=/,/g' freezone-radio-playlist.list >> ~/.soma/stations.conf

Hi, I listen to this radio station but can't figure out the link to play in either mplayer or mpv to add it to the soma radio list https://planetradio.co.uk/kisstory/player/

This seems to work with the browsers and smplayer on windows (I think it's using mpv as the backend). I'm not at a Linux machine to test it there (and I don't use soma, so I'm not sure if the url would need more tweaking).

It works in mplayer if you shorten the URL:

http://live-bauer-al.sharp-stream.com/kisstory.aac
