Src2pkg is a great tool. May you improve it forever.

Great balls of fire!

Not obscene, checkout the song Brian! BTW, not a joking matter for inference here so do not post if you cannot be constructive.

Enough said!

Maybe 'large flaming testicles' would sound better??!! Or maybe the reference is to a fire department dance...

"May you improve it forever." I like that, but I am glad that most of my stupendous ideas for it have either been implemented or rejected -makes me less nervous at relase time. Most of the recent work has been aimed at the less-used features of src2pkg -like supporting other formats, package-splitting, etc.

I've also built a compact distro using src2pkg for everything except gcc and glibc. If anyone is interested or needs a reference src2pkg build script for some basic package, everything can be found here: Keep It Simple, Sir ... don't expect to find an installer or ISO's there, though -still to be done. A running system can be created, though, assuming you are pretty good at shoe-horning things...

Thanks a lot. Src2pkg saves me a lot of time.

This is constructive to the thread how?

brianL 07-20-2011 10:38 AM

It's constructive criticism, you're taking things too seriously. Lighten up. Slack off. :)

Next is merely my tiny, wee little 1/2 or 1/4 of a cent. But, of course, definitely, yes, do define for yourself, independently of me. And, let us be appropriately slack.

A or some kind or sort of a birthday (re [perhaps a birthday of] Gilbert's creativity that I'm so fortunate that he shares).

FWIW. Did I say FWIW yet?
