Question **Wireless** Not starting on boot after kernel upgrade

So have installed Slackware 14 on my laptop and have upgraded to Slackware current. After upgrading all packages to current I decided to update the kernel. After updating the kernel it takes 10 min for the wireless to cut on after boot.... Has anyone seen this or know why?
