'Make' not working.

What ever I try to install, it screws up.

I'll run ./configure and everything will be alright.

I try to run make and get "make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop."

Then I run "make -f Makefile.in" and get "Makefile.in:15: *** missing separator. Stop."

It does this for everything. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or what needs to be adjusted?

read the INSTALL / README file for information on how to install that application.

whats the output of the complete ./configure and make commands?
what program are you install or link to the file you have downloaded?

Install GnuTLS, or use the --with-ssl option as it tells you..

Also the Makefile.in is used by configure to make the Makefile so you can't use that with make, so amke sure you have the automake package.
