Smile CD Rom driver for intallation

I am attempting to install RH 9 on my Dell Poweredge 2300 with a Samsung SM-308B HH 8X CDRW/DVD. I am very new to linux, so excuse me if this a dumb question, but how do I get the driver for this cd rom drive so that i can continue the installation. I was able to make a boot floppy so that i could get the installion started, but it can not see the remaining installion files on the cd. Any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Nevermind. I downloaded the distro files again and then tried it and this time the cd was bootable. works....I'll take it.
