Can anyone think of a reliable algorithm (to be done in php) to determine the satus of an audio stream (mms:// or
http://) as to if it's online/offline or streaming/not-streaming.
'm trying to develop it for this page of mine:

All I got so far is to tell whether the hosting server is up.
Ideas and help would be much appreciated. Or at least directions to a better forum for this question (if any available).
