2.6.7-2mdk and fglrx 3.9.0

Hi there,

Because of my SATA controller I had to upgrade to kernel 2.6.7-2mdk, I took the MDK package, as you see
Kernel AND sources are installed, everything is working fine. I downloaded fglrx 3.9.0, installed the rpm and patched it as seen here:
http://linuxmind.de/~ssimon/fglrx-2.6.7.patch
to work with it. The module builds fine, but there are two things...

1.)It doesn't load.
[root@Server fglrx]# insmod fglrx.2.6.7-2mdk-SMP.ko
insmod: error inserting 'fglrx.2.6.7-2mdk-SMP.ko': -1 Invalid module format

2.)Why is in it's name SMP? I don't use a SMP kernel, just the 2.6.7-2mdk! Source is exactly the right version!

Do I have to build my own kernel?

Thanks for everyone replying to this nasty prob.. I need hardware 3D

I'm back!

After building my own running kernel (yeah) and rebuilding ATi modules, I'm able to load them.
But lsmod tells me fglrx and agpgart aren't used and so 3d doesn't work (100fps at glxgears).

here my lsmod
