Problems after installing the latest updates (FIXED)

Hello! Could you please help? I’ve got many problems with Manjaro KDE Plasma after trying to install last updates.
On Friday (03/31/2023) there were new updates in the application manager (Pamac). Today I tried to install them all at once, but the program returned errors with some packages. Then I’ve began to install them sequentially in order to install at least some of them. After that, at some point, many problems with the OS appeared (errors in the logs, the Start menu disappeared, wifi does not connect, pamac, chrome, firefox stopped working):
For example, the following message periodically appears in the logs:
Code:
апр 03 14:56:39 pc systemd-coredump[121658]: Process 121613 (kded5) of user 1001 dumped core.

  • Qt Version 5.15.8
  • Kernel Version 5.15.102-1-MANJARO (64-bit)
  • Graphics Platform X11

Any help would be appreciated!

UPD. Connected to wifi by re-creating the connection and saving an unencrypted password in it. (It didn’t work with encrypted).
Then I launched command: sudo pacman -Syu
After that my pamac and browsers work again. Then I reinstalled plasma-desktop and added programs from kde* and plasma groups.

I don't know if Manjaro is as close to the bleeding edge of software development as its parent Arch is, but your method of piecemeal updating would certainly not work in Arch. In all Linux distros, applications must be runtime-compatible with the libraries on which they depend. That means that they must have been built against the same library versions.

In most distros, this is ensured by not carrying out major upgrades of libraries within a point release. Updates are usually just patches for fixing bugs. But in rolling release distros, any update of a library could be a major one and this might require some programs which have not themselves been updated to be nevertheless rebuilt against the new library version. So the system needs to be updated en bloc and not package by package.

You need to find out (with help from Manjaro/Arch experts of course ) what is causing the block update to fail.

Fixed some problems: Connected to wifi by re-creating the connection and saving an unencrypted password in it. (It didn't work with encrypted).
Then I launched command: sudo pacman -Syu
After that my pamac and browsers work again.

But I still have a problem with "Start menu". It doesnt work, only prins error:
file:///usr/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.kickoff/contents/ui/Kickoff.qml:18:1: plugin cannot be loaded for module "org.kde.plasma.private.kicker": Cannot load library /usr/lib/qt/qml/org/kde/plasma/private/kicker/libkickerplugin.so: (/usr/lib/libappstream.so.4: undefined symbol: g_string_free_and_steal)

Should I reinstall plasma-desktop to fix that?

Post Got the similar problem

Hey, even I was facing the same error after upgrading the kernel in manjaro xfce [6.1.22-1-MANJARO]

Code:
symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libatk-bridge-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_string_free_and_steal
other programs work for me, but not tenacity [an foss alternative to audacity].
