Musescore multiple voices in the same line?

I'm looking at Musescore and wondering how to write two voices (?) in the same line? See the attached PNG and notice that the one voice has half notes only and that the other has quarter and eighth notes. How can I write that measure as-is in Musescore?

If it were just quarter notes over eighth notes, then it would be possible to break one of them into eighth notes via Notes->Tuplets->Other but that does not seem to work for breaking a half note. Writing them if they are the same duration is not a problem, like the quarter notes at the end of the previous measure. But the problem seems to be how to get some different durations in the two voices.

Apologies for having forgotten the correct musical nomenclature.

I thought it is automatically handled by the software. I need to use it on the weekend, I will try to check it.
But anyway, there are other tools, did you try them?

I suppose the others being Denemo or Lilypond?

I have not yet checked the other tools but did find a lot of capabilities in Musescore. It is the automatic parts which get in the way. One can write double-stops and chords of various kinds easily and automatically though only if the notes are of the same duration. If I try to add one of a different duration, it seems to process it as the next beat or whatever.

Check the MuseScore documentation. They are called Voices (hyperlink to the relevant documentation) and they are extremely easy to use. Each "voice" is edited separately and will appear in a different color. This is specifically targeted at the "SATB = Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass" model of voice-writing.

Each "voice" is independently edited in the customary fashion, but ignores the presence of other "voices." It simply overlaps them in time. And, magically, the finished notation all comes out correctly. (There are several alternative ways to present it.)

MuseScore has a very active Forum section, and I cordially recommend that you take up these product-specific issues there. You will find yourself "among composers."
