Ubuntu log in problem

Hello everyone,

I'm a new user to Ubuntu and I'm using a Windows dual boot. After logging out of Ubuntu, I'm unable to progress past this screen: (I can't attach files so I've uploaded to imgur instead.)

This happens with all kernels. In my last session, I did a sudo apt-get and sudo apt install in my last session. I also installed FUSE using 'sudo apt-get install fuse' in the process of installing Obsidian, using online instructions.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm starting a development bootcamp in a few days and starting to worry that I'll have to go through the process of setting up Ubuntu again.

Thank you!

As nobody comments... My personal experience, I am also a newbie:

About ten years ago I started having my PC with a 'dual boot', Windows and Ubuntu system, I had many problems, install ... reinstall, configure ...

Finally I decided to remove Windows from the PC and also did not continue with Ubuntu but started try others Linux options ...

Five years ago I changed to MXLinux, no more serious problems except those that I myself by my incompetence ...

Greetings

Well, that looks like the startup listing for Ubuntu, which is on the 'console'.
Once you logout, the console is all that's left.
At that point, you would shutdown or reboot the machine, depending on what you want to do next ...
