BionicPup32 Light blocks connections to any/all websites.

Light blocks connection to Google, Firefox, NBC News, New York Times, all the big websites, you name it.

Light gives a reason for the blocking: Your connection is not secure. The owner of www google con. has configured their website improperly to protect your information being stolen, Light has not connected to this website. ...

How can anyone use this OS if it IS like this!

Maybe it is my inability to operate it right.

I have made a second USB bootable. And it is the same, blocking all the connections to any website.

How to solve this problem, please?

Thanks.

MY first thought would be that your browser has really, really old root certificates so it's unable to determine the validity of the certs being sent from anywhere.

Update that package, or use a different browser.

Is there any reason you're using 32bit instead of 64bit?

Thank you.

Reason for running 32b. OS:
My setup is of some left overs from disused PCs 14 years ago, in Win Vista time. They are unable to run any 64b. OS.

Browser has old root certificates:
The BionicPup 32 was downloaded fron https://linuxhint.com/install-puppy-linux-usb/.
I made 2 BionicPup32 USB bootables in three days. Light of both of them blocked all the connections to all the websites, such as YouTube, NBC, New York Times etc. I have no idea whether the root certificates in these 2 image files downloaded were old or new.
And now the Light is on a bootable USB. First, I do not know how to update, and second, Light blocks any and every input of website, how can any update be carried out.

Good Luck. Been a while since I ran Puppy.

I linked you to the middle of that thread. There are pages and pages of .pet and portable packages there.

I don't think DRM is the issue unless OP goes to youtube and sites that try to protect their files.
I don't think he should be blocked if he has not enabled DRM to go to google.

Poster has another post which points to certificates. And that depends on which web browser he uses because firefox uses its own certs.
