Thunderbird 102

Thunderbird in Slackware-current was upgraded at Fri Jul 1 01:23:50 UTC 2022

Thuderbird 102 doesn't connect to IMAPS when server certificate is selfsigned.
Adding CA certificate to athorities in Thunderbird doesn't help.

On server side there are only logs like this:
Code:
imapd-ssl: ip=[::ffff:XX.XX.XX.XX], couriertls: read: error:14094412:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:sslv3 alert bad certificate

I'm using TB 102, connecting to a self-hosted mail server using a self-signed certificate and it works as always.
I've just tried to create a new mailbox and connect to it on a clean profile.
After the initial configuration i get the usual dialog asking me to trust the self signed certificate.

Hello
this looks a recent issue

I've setup a testing environment
needing an ubuntu server to act as mail server , I had setup postifix and dovecot

and I need it with SMPT SSL port 587 and IMAPS port 993

my mail server is in the LAN and it has a dummy "ubuntu.box" domain name where for it I have created the corresponding self signed certificates and keys

testing with openssl client the configuration looks good
(tested with these hints https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/a...cate-is-in-use)

but then thunderbird current 102.6 works with IMAP (or at least it look so) but it doesn't work with SMTP complaining about self-signed certificate

Also trying to confirm or manually add the exception doesn't work

Some one suggested to use an older thunderbird and that will work

Though I'm wondering if any other solution is possible

my thunderbird 102.08 works with ports 587/993. Maybe there is something wrong with your self signed cerificate?
