How to solve "Depends: libarchive13 (= 3.2.1-2~ubuntu16.04.1) but 3.1.2-11ubuntu0.16.04.8 is to be installed"

The last i386 i.e. 32bit build of an LTS Ubuntu I found is 16.04.7.
I need a 32bit version to build pi-gen, so that's what I'm stuck with.

I got almost every dependency for it installed, except this:

This is a fresh install, btw. I did apt-get update + upgrade before this.

I was facing the same issue and this seemed to have worked for me. Try installing the required version with this:
