repeated segfaults on thunar

Hello everyone.

Is there somebody having a buggy thunar?

Im using thunar and it segfaults from time to time whenever Im opening a directory. I cant find the usage pattern that triggers the bug. It it just happens on any directory but in a random way. It happens 1/20 directories I traverse using thunar.

My dmesg shows this:
[136856.933993] thunar[3292]: segfault at 4182ece0 ip 00007f7561d3c7fd sp 00007ffde9b45b50 error 4 in libgobject-2.0.so.0.6800.3[7f7561d17000+2d000]

Another crash:
[94252.722597] thunar[7460]: segfault at 40dede80 ip 00007f510736d7fd sp 00007fff1b3d4f60 error 4 in libgobject-2.0.so.0.6800.3[7f5107348000+2d000]
[94252.722612] Code: 8b 1c d8 48 85 db 0f 84 11 ff ff ff e9 01 ff ff ff 66 66 2e 0f 1f 84 00 00 00 00 00 90 48 83 ec 08 48 85 ff 0f 84 93 00 00 00 <48> 8b 07 48 85 c0 0f 84 af 00 00 00 48 8b 00 48 3d fc 03 00 00 77

Another one:
[58308.786258] Thunar[4561]: segfault at 40e2e700 ip 00007facd68c17fd sp 00007ffe04fbd880 error 4 in libgobject-2.0.so.0.6800.3[7facd689c000+2d000]
[58308.786275] Code: 8b 1c d8 48 85 db 0f 84 11 ff ff ff e9 01 ff ff ff 66 66 2e 0f 1f 84 00 00 00 00 00 90 48 83 ec 08 48 85 ff 0f 84 93 00 00 00 <48> 8b 07 48 85 c0 0f 84 af 00 00 00 48 8b 00 48 3d fc 03 00 00 77

Im running -current. Kernel: 5.12.15.
I updated the last week. This also happened when I installed slackware 2 months ago... That was 5.10, I think.

Everything goes just fine but this constant awful segfault.
I tried to do an *strace* but apparently the segfault doesnt happen
when thunar is being traced.

Any ideas?

I have that libgobject file in the glib2 package, and in a aaa_elflibs, a 'get you off the ground' package of basic libraries from many places.

Segfaults are nearly always dodgy software. So full thorough disk check, uninstall & reinstall both packages. Also run smartctl with clever options to see if anything has been up with the disk.
