VLC media player, current, and Wondery podcasts

So I'm having problems with vlc (3.0.8, Alien Bob's build), Wondery podcasts hosted on art19.com, Wondery's RSS feeds (For instance: https://rss.art19.com/the-dating-game-killer). I can load the podcast fine using the link given (ex: https://rss.art19.com/external/episo...0b8bda5bc5.mp3)

Through VLC I get: "Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'https://dts.podtrac.com/redirect.mp3/chtbl.com/track/9EE2G/pdst.fm/e/rss.art19.com/episodes/06dbbd8a-fee5-4447-8b5c-9b0b8bda5bc5.mp3'. Check the log for details." (Log attached.)

Is this a network problem, or a library-changed-and-vlc-needs-rebuilding problem? I hadn't had issues with Wondery podcasts in the past.

Like from the RSS feed? Interesting. I'll recompile VLC later and see if that fixes it.

Rebuilt VLC from your package, thinking it might be a library issue somewhere in current, and same behavior. Network issue between me and the podcast's host?

ETA: got to be a network issue, since my partner on windows with VLC media player can't open that RSS feed, either.
