If I am still breathing in 10 years and Pat is still cranking releases while listening to his Grateful Dead collection, I will be twice as old as Slackware and Pat will be the same age I am now. Cue the Twilight Zone theme song.
I was just thinking, if Slackware disappeared tomorrow, what would I do? Well, I guess continue running Slackware for awhile, but then... I would probably use Debian, but then if I wanted to do custom upgrades of packages I would have to deal with making them play nice with apt. Ah, well, no point in worrying about hypotheticals. Happy Birthday Slackware! Here's to many more.

Thanks. I saw that thread. Actually, I think I probably posted something similar in it. Just had the idea cross my mind again, and it reminded me how glad I am that Slackware exists.
