Ubuntu Upgrade Problem

Hello everyone,
I have Linux Ubuntu 17.04 installed alongside with Windows 8.1 on my laptop HP PAVILLON (i3 Processor).
Everything was working fine until a week ago ubuntu became slow and not working properly, I decided to upgrade it to 18.04.2 LTS , so I run the upgrade and rebooted the system but it booted with 17.04 screen . At first it worked fine then after shutting it down, the system won't boot again I get this ( see pictures)
It says I'm on emergency mode.

How can I solve this ? Was it because of the upgrade ?
Thank you.
PS : I'm new to the forum, how can I add images to help you understand my problem ?
