[SOLVED] SBOTOOLS: sbosnap fails with "Unsupported version"

Adding this to the forum because I figured out the fix and couldn't find it online or in this forum.

PROBLEM: sbosnap fetch fails with "Unsupported version: 14.2+"

FIX: Create /etc/sbotools/sbotools.conf and put SLACKWARE_VERSION=14.2 in it.

Note: slackbuilds.org only has sbo scripts for Released versions of Slackware, so 14.?.
So essentially all sbo scripts can fail in Slackware-current.
Ponce does a very good job in converting them to -current.

See the first post on this thread on how to set up sbotools to work with ponce's repo. As ehartman stated, all scripts on SBo are only tested against 14.2. There have been a TON of changes to -current since 14.2 and it breaks a lot of scripts. If you stick with the 14.2 repo on -current, expect a lot of things to not work. ponce is doing an amazing job maintaining an unofficial repo for -current (along with the people who find breakage and many times report the fix) that will eventually become the 15.0 repo on SBo (ponce is one of the SBo admins).
