RHEL 6 logout banner

I need to have RHEL 6 display a logout message to all my users. RHEL 7 does this automatically. I have not had any luck researching this on line up to this point.

Anyone have experience with this?

While if you're paying for RHEL, they should be able to answer this for you;

The closest thing I could find was this.

One of the comments says it's enabled for CentOS 7 which is basically RHEL without the branding.

I have not tried it myself tho...

logout of a graphical session, or a tty session?
which shell?
i know bash sources ~/.bash_logout - maybe there's also a global version?

I'm not sure I understand why you would want to do such a thing. Are you going to implement it for all shells, or restrict all users to using just one shell? You would have to institute some sort of delay in the logout process to make sure the user sees it. This will most likely irritate most users. I would just display whatever you need to say in the login banner. Your best bet if you really need to do it is open a ticket with Red Hat.
