Some people have the strangest ideas.
If I had not said anything, it would undoubtedly have not been the right thing to do either.
Basically I am taking a break from all the recent assholes here in the forum, trying to re-focus on the good folk.
With all due respect, sir, where in the world did you get the idea said as****es are worthy any of your time?

Politely disagree and just turn elsewhere - You have so much better things to attend IMHO?

Did someone know the "personal circumstances" which made Eric Hameleers to "temporaneous" shutdown his operations?

I feel that is strange for real that a Pillar of Slackware (like you describe him) runs away, and no one comments why? You are still on denial or something?

I wish him all the best, and I really hope that that suddenly silence is not because of a illness or familly related issues.

The keyword is 'personal'. None of our business.

Run away is a large accusation. Be thankful he does what he does.

Eric, well, hopefully this thread signals that there are good folks here that certainly appreciate all that you do for the slackware community. multilib alone has been a lifesaver, not to mention the million & one other tools, repos, packages, etc. that you've contributed.

BTW, this is my first LQ post--this was important enough to draw me out from under my rock
