From the kernel command line, disable the longhaul kernel module (for CPU throttling), which causes these kind of failures on some VIA chips.

Just append "longhaul.disable=1" to the command line. Once you've booted into the OS you can make this permanent (search the web for kernel command line options, grub, modprobe, etc).

You will need to install x86 (32 bit architecture) so if you're trying to install from amd64 installation media, that might be why.

Your laptop model has VIA graphics (chrome9), supported by the openchrome driver, which is part of the kernel.

The Arch Wiki has a section: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Via_Technologies

However, from experience, it's very hit and miss trying to get VIA *chrome graphics to work (as others have suggested) - in recent experiment with an old laptop I had to use the vesa driver - the result was pretty pathetic.

I added modprobe.blacklist = viafb and longhaul.disable=1 but it didn't work. I installed Kali Linux x86 and i tried to install Linux Mint x86 xfce v18.

When you say "it didn't work", I have to wonder if you did it correctly? "it didn't work" doesn't provide much to go on.

Can step through exactly what you tried in detail?

It is impossible Linux does not support a CPU you happen to have. All computers are made to run Windows and whatever runs Windows and a dozen more runs Linux.

So put in some effort and post:

Where did you get "There is a communicate about not supported CPU." What exactly did it tell.

What is "does not work" From you picture I see you have a screen with characters. It works. If you expect something else, tell us exactly where you got stuck, what messages you see, where you cannot proceed.

Find and post exactly the specs of your CPU and VGA. Don't let us guess and find out. It is your laptop and your problem.

Chances are you downloaded the installation files for the wrong architecture. What exactly did you download?

This is a VIA graphics problem, not a matter of CPU support. VIA C7-M is x86_32 architecture CPU, so I suggest those cases where "not supported CPU" has appeared is where they have attempted to boot and install from amd64 installation media.

Matt88848, if the module blacklisting from the kernel command line doesn't do it, then it's really up to you to search the web and find the solution if any. There is sadly no "magic button" here and unless someone with the exact same hardware and some experience replies it really is all up to you.

you still did not post exact error messages, just repeat "this does not work", "that does not work".... The only way to get real help is to post what did you really try and what was the real response. Otherwise we can only [do a wild] guess....
From the other hand I would look for a general distro which can run on that CPU. As it was explained you need to try a 32bit OS (not a 64bit version).
Since it is a [more than] 10 years old CPU probably I would try an older distro.

And again, your posts contain no usable information to go further: http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-ques...html#beprecise
