I can't "man" anything anymore

I just got the current update:

* removepkg man
* slackpkg install-new (got man-db)
* slackpkg upgrade-all (got the new man-pages)

Now whenever I try to "man" anything, I get "no manual entry for ...". This is true even for things that I know have man pages, such as ls and bash.

UPDATE: I just ran "mandb", and it didn't seem to make a difference?

UPDATE 2: My "MANPATH" wasn't set right. This might have something to do with the fact that I'm using FISH, and it's not picking up an initialization file. Has anyone using a Slackware-standard shell had this problem?

I switched to mandoc instead of man-db after seeing this change which is working fine here too.

Try the man -D and -M switches. I vaguely remember this happened to me (but I was missing some nroff util)

For this you should pay the price of 1 green square. Like in Diablo 2, being killed cost one money.

Edit: something needs to be done to force people, especially all bright green, to think first before post.

Edit: this thread just recalled me the thread where @kikinovak confessed he is loging remotely on root account

Edit: with very long password
