How to disable all animation

Hi there,

I am running LMDE 2 with Cinnamon desktop, I disabled desktop effect but still I got animation flying in and out in some area, such as when customize desktop effect, and I click the customize button the next screen fly in, and the desktop effect already turned off, I don't want any annoying animation I only want the screen pop up instantly, any idea ?

use a different window manager.
openbox is really good, no annoying animations or "effects".

edit:
ok that was slightly too curt.
i think that cinnamon's own window manager is not configurable to the degree you desire, hence my answer.
but of course you should check its documentation and settings.

Try using XFCE4 instead of Cinnamon. I think that Cinnamon does not even support using a desktop with 3d graphics hardware acceleration effects.
