nvidia mobile external monitors

Hello, I'm new to Manjaro, but long time Linux user, I've got a weird issue laptop and multiple displays.

I have two external monitors, one connected via HDMI and the other either plugged directly into a USB-C (and also tried plugging into a second HDMI port on a USB-C hub).

If I use the stock drivers that come with Manjaro, I can use all three monitors, however if I switch to the Nvidia drivers (440.82), I can only use the monitor that is plugged directly into the HDMI port. I've tested with ubuntu and can use all monitors with the nvidia drivers from 435.

Code:
$ lspci | grep VGA
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GP104BM [GeForce GTX 1070 Mobile] (rev a1)

Code:
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 4480 x 1440, maximum 32767 x 32767
HDMI-0 connected 2560x1440+1920+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 597mm x 336mm
   2560x1440 59.95*+
   2048x1080 60.00 24.00
   1920x1080 60.00 59.94 50.00 60.00 50.04
   1600x1200 60.00
   1280x1024 75.02 60.02
   1280x720 60.00 59.94 50.00
   1152x864 75.00
   1024x768 75.03 60.00
   800x600 75.00 60.32
   720x576 50.00
   720x480 59.94
   640x480 75.00 59.94 59.93
DP-0 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 344mm x 194mm
   1920x1080 60.02*+ 48.03
DP-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP-2 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
I'm using stock Manjaro with Gnome:
Code:
5.6.16-1-MANJARO
The other weird thing, maybe this is a Manjaro thing, when I installed the nvidia-drivers it updated the whole system, is this normal? Normally I like to wait a bit before upgrading my system.

Additional information:

Code:
Device-2: NVIDIA GP104BM [GeForce GTX 1070 Mobile] driver: nouveau v: kernel
           Display: x11 server: X.org 1.20.8 driver: nvidia resolution: <xdpyinfo missing>
           OpenGL: renderer: NV134 v: 4.3 Mesa 20.0.7
Cheers
