Thank you for deleting the sane fdi

(I already made the "add|change" to my /etc/.../sane.rule.)

Much like the Hydra which Hercules killed in the swamps near the ancient city of Lerna in Argolis, delete one fdi, another appears. ./l/libgphoto2-2.5.2-x86_64-1.txz has added its own hal fdi file which appears to contain the entire cast of udev rules for gphoto2 cameras.

/usr/share/hal/fdi/information/20thirdparty/{10-camera-libgphoto2-device.fdi,10-camera-libgphoto2.fdi}

Apcupsd appears to have joined the party, too, but that's from sourceforge, not Slackware.
/usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/20thirdparty/80-apcupsd-ups-policy.fdi

Gotta wonder if HAL is in the wings awaiting its cue to enter stage-left as the new hal-phoenix risen from the ashes of ex-hal, a consummation devoutly to be wished!

Hi,

So...you marked this as solved, what was the solution to this quest? Did the hero bring home the head of the gorgon? How was the Hydra slain
(Yup, I love Greek mythology just like you, that's why I subscribed to this thread, some even look huggable...)
