A bad hack might be to make the file /run/gdm/auth-for-gdm-nGAqXa/database readable by changing the permissions and then seeing if that works. Could be some .Xauthority variable that needs to be exported. I am just throwing out ideas. I haven’t installed TeamViewer in years.

Added full path and filename for clarity.

@nejnej25:-

Just a suggestion, but.....have you checked to see if your ISP is blocking TeamViewer?

I've had exactly the same problem here in the UK in recent weeks. My ISP, TalkTalk, have recently introduced a 'Scammer filter', following a spate of hacks to the website which included fraudsters from India attempting to get TalkTalk customers to install TeamViewer so they could 'help' them with their 'problems'!

TalkTalk, however, didn't see fit to inform their customers.....

Just an idea that might be worth following up.

Mike.
