new dolphin from plasma5 (AlienBob)

It seems there's something wrong with the new dolphin package in plasma (plasma updated this morning):

-dolphin doesn't open carefully:
-------------------------------
unable to create the entry/output module: error while during loading /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kf5/kio/file.so

It's not the exact message, I translated it from french.
So dolphin is enable to open directories...

I updated this morning too and dolphin works fine for me. I have -

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 123112 Jan 21 00:26 /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kf5/kio/file.so

I have been using KDE for almost 20 years and it's file managers are exceptionally important to me. I was initially disturbed when Dolphin was introduced but soon learned to love it. Yesterday I was compelled to boot into Debian, merely a testing install, to compare a specific bit of performance (FWIW Debian sucked!) and was hit by recalling that in many distros it is disallowed to "kdesu dolphin". I HATE THIS! and consider it an insult. I sincerely hope KDE doesn't make this a requirement for all distros as that would be a deal breaker "bug" for me.

My -Current install is somewhat static, so please guys, tell me we can still do root Dolphin and what is meant by "doesn't open carefully"?

KDE prevents users from running dolphin as root. This limitation is also present in kate.

I don't know if KDE would be able to make it a "requirement", but it is certainly hardcoded and only adjustable with patching. Once Eric was notified of this limitation, he patched it on both dolphin and kate to allow users to run it as root if desired.

Yes I recently saw a patch on a Gentoo forum that singled out the lines that disallow root access but then Dolphin must be recompiled to enable. I guess it ewasn't enough for the devs to just hide kdesu in an very odd directory that would have to manually linked to /usr/bin. Seriously, wtf?
