Epson are a funny bunch, though, it has to be said. Their stock response, if you ever get in touch with them about Linux drivers/software, is invariably 'We don't do Linux.' This, despite them being one of the original founding members of the Linux Foundation! There's also an absolutely ridiculous saga concerning the original authors of their Linux drivers, a Japanese firm called Avensys.....which I refuse to go into, 'cos it's just too stupid for words. You don't want to go there, trust me....

The drivers are definitely available, though the onus is on you, the user, to hunt them down.

Thankfully no drivers were needed, just plug and play. I imagine that's the issue with the other one, probably need some kind of driver and good luck with that.
