slackpkg , Updated BUT the 15.0 not found on this server ...


Going to the url below I get the following error ... Very happy I saved my old slackpkg Mirror file ...

The requested URL was not found on this server.
That's because 15.0 hasn't been released yet, but this is planned to be the slackpkg version that will be included once it is released (pending no other changes are made), so they wanted the default to be 15.0.

You'll want to switch the mirror back to a -current mirror.

What you need is already in /etc/slackpkg/mirrors, look in the Slackware64-current or Slackware-current section.

As @bassmadrigal already stated, Slackware 15.0 has not been released, thus those mirrors will not be available until it is and it's propagated across all of the mirrors.

As an additional note. There is no default mirror set in /etc/slackpkg/mirrors.

slackpkg 15.0.1 was upgraded Thu Mar 18 23:54:14 UTC 2021 "Update mirror files (14.2 -> 15.0)."

Last edited by chrisretusn; 04-06-2021 at 08:03 PM. Reason: Removed part regarding 15.0.1 was incompatable with 14.2. Just tested with slackware64-14.2, it works just fine
