Browser cache gets deleted after switching window managers

I use 2 window managers, mainly i3 and Ubuntu gnome. But when I switch from i3 to ubuntu or vice versa, all my browser cache gets deleted. For example i switched from Ubuntu gnome where I was signed in on outlook. After switching to i3 and opening my browser and going to www.outlook.com it asked me to sign in again. Please, let me know how to fix this.

Thanks in advance!

How do you switch window managers? I suppose you need to log out/in?
That would definitely terminate your browser session.
Maybe your browser is set to delete the cache when you close it. Have you checked its preferences on this?

Have you tried to
- close the browser (gracefully) before you switch wms?
- close the browser, and reopen it, in the same session, then go to outlook?
What happens in each case?
