RAM and Flash directories in embedded system based on linux

Hi,
There are various directories in linux. Example /root,/var,/etc,/proc,/usr. In embedded system, during boot up, it will copy image from flash to RAM.

Questions:
How can i know, which directory goes to RAM and which resides on FLASH?

Linux does not have a generic init system, where your bootscripts are (and if they are scripts at all) depends on the distribution in use, it can range from a simple bash script over script based init systems (like SystemV or BSD style scripts) to more sophisticated init systems, like OpenRC or systemd. You will have to determine which system is in use first.
