Anyone gotten palm detect to work on a clickpad?

I have an Asus Zenbook with an ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad, and no matter what I do I cannot seem to get the synaptics palm detect feature working right. I have played with the settings for weeks, and it still constantly messes up my typing. It is driving me crazy!

Has anyone figured out a good X.org config file setting to get the palm detect to work properly on a clickpad? Here is the relevant part of my current 50-synaptics.conf:

Code:
      Option "PalmDetect" "on"
      Option "PalmMinWidth" "4"
      Option "PalmMinZ" "1"
I have tried altering these options higher and lower without any noticeable difference. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
