Firefox issue with folders

I am recently using Debian, and I noticed that when I was downloading through firefox, and clicking to open the folder where the file was saved, Audacious was being activated ... as I thought it was a problem with the program, I uninstalled the audacious , but then firefox started activating EasyTag. What kind of error is this? I do not remember changing file associations (I do not even know how to do this), if that's the issue here.

Audacious has been known to do this for whatever reason. What desktop environment are you using? Someone will need to know that in order to tell you how to set the association back to your file manager.

were you clicking the folder through firefox somehow?
or was that in your filemanager?

Audacious is known to clobber the file association to a DE's file manager but I can't remember which DE (or all maybe) are affected.

Through Firefox...every time I clicked that folder icon on Downloads was opening Audacious, as I said...now it's opening EasyTag.
I'm using Thunar 1.6.11 on Debian.

ok i think you can fix this through your filemanager regardless: right-click on a folder, choose "Open with...", and choose "Thunar Open Folder" or some such, and make it the default.

if that doesn't help, maybe go into firefox preferences => (Helper) Applications and check if the problem resides there?

I just unninstalled Easytag. Problem solved; apparently I'm not the only one having this issue, as far as I googled.
