getting started with container on RHEL 7.5 (server)

What is required to get started with docker on RHEL 7.5 server

I am running the tutorial examples from RHEL
https://access.redhat.com/documentat...m_a_dockerfile

but nothing works as it should.

running
Code:
docker run --rm registry.access.redhat.com/rhel7/rsyslog ls /root/buildinfo
brings
Code:
ls: cannot open directory /root/buildinfo: Permission denied
and changing/runnign yum inside a docker container does also not work

any Red Hat experts here that know this problem?

Is your docker container running and are you running the commands as root?

I can run docker containers, but strangely, when I run those from the red hat regestry, I have no permissions in them at all, even if I run a bash shell interactive, ls says permission denied.

tried of course also as root (via sudo)
but I added me, for convenience and since this is not a production machine, to the dockerroot group. but this should make no difference

there must be a problem with the license exported into the container? or something, but I do not understand, this server is registered (self supporting since it's just a test/learning installation)

Did you follow 1.7.4. User namespaces options? If so, I wonder if your mappings are causing the problem? Did you open a ticket with Red Hat?

I understood this to be optional, and I since I can not do anything as root also, I think this is not related
I will test on a different machine, maybe it works different on a Developer Suite installation, will see
